Aldo Leopold Shack and Farm is a historic site in Baraboo, Wisconsin that was listed as Aldo Leopold Shack on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2009.[2]
The farm was bought by Aldo Leopold, a conservationist and writer, in the early 1930s. He rehabilitated a chicken coop, which he referred to as the Shack, for his family to spend weekends in. He later wrote several works on conservation, the environment, and wildlife there, including the Sand County Almanac.[2]
